Preserving our Archives

This project aims to undertake the process of digitising transparencies from collections of images spanning 40 years of the York Archaeological Trust, to create an on-line archive of images.

Images from key excavations from Coppergate, which revealed the Viking city of Jorvik, to the Roman remains at Wellington and Tanner Row, are being digitised for future generations of researchers.
