York Archaeological Trust has a long-standing
track record of in-house publication with over 60 volumes
in its internationally renowned series, The Archaeology
of York.
We also produce our own illustrated popular
booklets and the twice-yearly Yorkshire Archaeology Today
magazine, which covers news about discoveries and activities
of the Trust.
In collaboration with the Trust's IT
department, the Graphics and Publication department has
pioneered innovative interactive web publications which
allow direct access to site archive records, data, plans
and images.
We specialise
in archaeological graphics, which can be produced to your
specifications. The highest standard of finds illustration
is available for all classes of artefact; maps and plans
can be prepared from your brief for print or web applications.
Desktop Publishing (DTP) and typesetting is another core expertise. We use the latest version of the professional DTP software, Adobe InDesign, coupled with Adobe Illustrator for the preparation of graphics, drawings and illustrations and Adobe Photoshop for image manipulation.
We offer a full range of services
including publication layout, proof reading, website design, and a publication
and graphics service for developers, professionals, amateurs,
academic bodies, societies and individuals.
