Training Excavation 2006

Following on from the great success of the St Leonard's Hospital (2001–2004) and the St Mary's Abbey Precinct (2005) training excavations, York Archaeological Trust has had access to a fantastic new site adjacent to St Saviour's Church in the centre of the City and ran a training excavation throughout the summer of 2006.

The training excavation is now finished for the year: many thanks to all those staff and trainees who contributed to making it a great success. We hope to be able to run another training project soon – keep watching this website.
