Support York Archaeological Trust

We are an independent educational charity, receiving no direct state grant or subsidy for our work.  For more than 40 years we have sustained our activities by demonstrating the critical value of heritage to all. We exist for three connected reasons: to discover and conserve the past and to allow everyone to experience and get involved in the results of this vital work.

Help Us Re-Imagine JORVIK Viking Centre with #CampaignCanute

JORVIK Viking Centre was one of the many homes and businesses in York that suffered substantial flood damage in December 2015. The centre remains closed and will re-open on the 8th April, 2017.

As we look to the future and re-opening this world-famous attraction, that has welcomed over 18 million visitors over the past 32 years, we need your help to re-imagine the Viking story in York for the 21st Century.

Your donation to #CampaignCanute will help us create a new immersive and interactive heritage experience at the home of the Vikings in York for generations to come! More information on Campaign Canute can be found here.
